I am a senior management consultant and interim manager with many years of experience as a director and board member in the not-for-profit sector.
I have strategic vision, analytical skills and strong involvement in the sector.

I have strong expertise in management, strategy, organizational development, business operations and corporate social responsibility.

In 1987 I graduated as a Master in Industrial Engineering & Management Science at Eindhoven University of Technology, specialising in Organization Science and Strategic Development.
​
I was a director at Greenpeace, Rank a Brand and PAX for Peace. Before that, I used to work as manager and project manager for Dutch Railways (NS) and the municipality of Alphen a/d Rijn and Amsterdam.
I was supervisory board member of a.o. Amnesty International and Stichting de Vrolijkheid. Currently, I am a Supervisory Board Member of SOMO, Center for Research on Multinational Corporations.

In 2018 I wrote an essay called A Civilized World. In this essay, I have formulated my ideals for global society and how these can be realized by combining the positive powers of benevolent people and civil society.
The vision and ideals formulated in this essay motivate me to contribute as much as possible to a better world, professionally as a consultant and privately as a member, donor or volunteer of several civil society organizations.
